Why is Emergency Lighting important?
Emergency lighting provides automatic illumination if the normal power supply fails, allowing occupants to evacuate safely and helping emergency services navigate the building. A correctly designed and maintained system is essential for protecting life and ensuring safe escape during an emergency.

FIA Qualified
I have completed the Fire Industry Association (FIA) Emergency Lighting to BS 5266-1 training. Ensuring inspections are completed with a sound understanding of current British Standards and industry best practice.
Regulations and Compliance
Most non-domestic premises are required to provide suitable emergency lighting under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, with recommendations for design, installation and maintenance detailed in BS 5266-1.
Regular inspection and testing help demonstrate compliance and ensure the system will operate effectively when needed.
